First of all I’d like to thank everyone that came out to our Fall Sportsman dinner.  It was a tremendous success because of you.  We had one of our best dinners ever and in these times that says a lot about DU supporters and what DU means to all of us.

It was a great night as we honored one of Delaware’s true treasures, Master Carver Bill Veasey.  Not only was Bill honored, but he was gracious enough to donate an number of items such as a pair of Mallard cork decoys, a framed/signed and Remarque print and a beautiful carved sculpture of a pair of flying mallards that went to some lucky person.

We also had on hand many senior State of Delaware DU leaders including current Chairman Howard Wilkins and past State Chairmen: Urie Boulden, Jim Dodd, Pete MacGaffin and Dave Riddell.  We also had State Shoot Chair Dave Waters.  I’d like to thanks them for their support as well as Herb Kenton and Bryan Brown for his help during the auction portion of the night.

We couldn’t have done it without your support so thank you and we look forward to seeing you at our next event.  One last factoid.  As a result of funds raised at the event we save another 80 acres for the Ducks.  See you next time.
